Governing Body Structure
SPRINGWATER SCHOOL GOVERNING BODY STRUCTURE & REMIT
The Full Governing Body of Springwater School meets at regular intervals and at least once every half term.
All members of the Full Governing Body have voting rights.
The Core Functions of the Governing Body are: Ensuring clarity of Vision, Ethos and Strategic Direction. Holding the Head Teacher to account for the educaitonal performance of the School. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure it's money is well spent.
A Finance and Resources Sub - Committee also meets at least every half term.
TERMS OF REFERENCE – as approved at the Full Governing Body Meeting December 2016.
The Governing Body or committees may establish other groups such as a working party or a task group, to look at a specific matter. These are less formal than committees and do not have delegated authority. Any such group must report back to the Governing Body or originating committee on its work and is usually disbanded once its work has been completed.
